WWII period Trench Art Aluminum Cigarette Case. NR

Although this piece isn’t dated the style is very much of the 1940’s
An excellent hand made case with great attention to detail.
The shape is smooth and the fit is very good.
 

Engraved on the front is a picture of a young lady in her negligee
Surrounded by a chequered pattern. On the back is the same pattern
with an Alsatian on. Inside is the same chequered pattern and a rose
on one side and a Knight on a Horse. It has an unusual catch
mechanism that matches the hinge in looks.

The condition is quite good with just a few spots of corrosion here
and there. No cracks, dents or damage.
